Weekly Activity Themes: February 11 – 23
Studio: Black History Month
- In celebration of Black History Month, we are featuring artwork inspired by Faith Ringgold and created by students from Appleton Area School District. Come to The Studio to create your own works of art inspired by Faith Ringgold’s work.
Food to Grow: Pickle Your Own Vegetable!
- Learn how to preserve vegetables through pickling! Plus, build your own pickling recipe using various vinegars, herbs, and spices.
The Lab: Recycling
- Activate your creativity and problem-solving skills as you Ask-Think-Learn-Share about Recycling! Activities vary from day-to-day, but may include making compost jars, creating DIY plastic bottle greenhouses, and paper making!

- Join us for our Family Valentine’s at the BFK event
Thursday, February 20: Taste Testing
- Sample some fresh bread from Voyageurs Bakehouse in Food Grow and make your own bread spread with fresh herbs from our Flex farm!
Friday, February 21 (10 am – 12 pm): Music with Bernardo
- Learn about different styles of music, sing songs, and try out different types of instruments!
Saturday, February 22: Pottery & Sculpting
- Come try out the pottery wheel!
