Kids 12 and under are invited to dress up and march down College Avenue in this non-motorized parade. Parade line up and number pick up begins at 5:15, Parade starts at 6 pm. Registration is free (but required). After the parade, the fun continues in City Park with a Fox Valley Food Truck Rally, music with 95.9 KISS FM, interactive activities and “The LEGO Batman Movie” playing at dusk.

Parade policies:

  • The parade is designed to entertain children and families; all entries must be appropriate for an audience of young children. This event is not a platform for political, religious or social issues.
  • The distribution of materials (candy, fliers, brochures, coupons, etc.) along the parade route is prohibited.
  • The parade is not a commercial endeavor; all entries must be of a non-commercial theme. Please make sure all group banners and signs are non-commercial in nature i.e. Name, logo, website listed.

The Building for Kids reserves the right to deny any signage, materials or entries that do not follow the above policies. If you have questions, contact us.

Parade route:
Line up begins in front of The Building for Kids. The parade route heads east on College Avenue, turning left on Drew Street and ending in City Park.

Awards:
One individual and one group award will be given in each of the following categories:

  • Imagination
  • Creativity
  • Confidence
  • Spirit

If you are part of a group unit, please make sure your group members know your assembly location before parade day. Please only have one registration entered per group unit.
